The Bullock Tradition

Bullock quality meat tradition began in 1937 when G. Winston Bullock opened an abattoir and market in Smallwood, just outside Westminster MD. We continue to stress quality before quantity – paying particular attention to the marblization essential to tender, tasty meat.

Bullock’s History

In 1962 the present meat store was constructed and was a Carroll County hit.
In 1969 Winston Bullock knows as PAP Bullock wanted to try and sell more product. His answer was to sell cooked food. The first meals were hamburgers, roast beef sandwiches and hot roast beef and gravy. This went over so well that in 1972 a section was added on to the meat store and booths were installed and the restaurant was officially opened.

As business grew people coming from Baltimore to eat and buy meat the restaurant needed to expand. In 1980 the present restaurant was opened.
